4 blogging mistakes you need to avoid

Whether you have a business or launching a personal brand online thru a website, in the form of a blog, let us remind you that blogging isn’t an easy thing to get yourself into. It takes a lot of work, time, and effort to put up and not to mention, money (for web hosting and the works).

The success of the prominent bloggers, professionals, or brands you look up to now in terms of their website content and up-keeping didn't happen overnight. It took them long hours, lots of brainstorming, plenty of cash, and a handful of trial and error in the process. It's a lot of work to build a website, grow it's following, make it functional, and smooth in navigation.

Blogging or building a website sure is easier said but hard to get done. To help you with the process and keep you from committing the most common mistakes, here are the usual mishaps you need to look out for and avoid:

Your site isn’t mobile-friendly

You have put a lot of work and thoughts into your website's design that you've forgotten your audience are on their smartphones 90% of the time. Sure, your site looks smooth and fast when viewed on desktop or laptop, but does it translate as smoothly on mobile? You should know that some website designs don't reflect as good on mobile so you should get working on making your site mobile-friendly as well.

Your site’s navigation is out of place

When viewing your site, whether on a desktop or mobile, does it clearly show the clickable tabs or where the important details are at? If you think it's not functional and easy to navigate, it's time to work on it. Remember that the easier you make it for your consumers, the better you, the brand or company, are perceived by them. This is where you should keep it simple to make it a smooth experience for your audience.

You have a slow server

Doesn't it frustrate you when you visit a website and it takes long to load completely? If you despise it, you viewers sure do as well! Take time to look for service providers that makes sure your site runs on a server that keeps up the speed. More importantly, look for a web host that you can reach out to 24/7 and has great customer service if in case any issues arise, you can address it to them and accommodate you immediately.

Managing it all on your own

When starting out, remember that you don't have to do it all on your own! You will certainly need help from other people and service providers. If you're unfamiliar with how marketing and content creation works, hire someone with experience to do it for you. Outsource tasks and look for softwares or applications to boost your efficiency need be.
